Hello, World!

My inability to write posts for this blog is due to my inability to manage my time properly. I have 0 skills in time management.

If you follow me on twitter, you'd probably feel my absence in the World Wide Web. I used to tweet A LOT. Like a LOT but ever since I got so busy with work, I didn't even have time to check on my twitter. Weird for someone who used to be a twitter addict. I check my twitter when I wake up, when I have free time, when I'm bored, driving, stuck in traffic and before I sleep. So being absent there (twitter) only means that I have my plate full right now.

At the same time I lost time for my blog and twitter is also the same time I felt like I lost myself because this is what I loved doing. Sharing myself to my blog and rereading it when I have free time so I can look back on the times and remember how I felt on that special moment. I guess that's what bloggers feel that's why they feel so passionate (spend time) writing posts and publishing them.

I can only blame myself for what I have turned into now, a slave to my work and I am now a monster and I am not complaining at all because I tell myself that love what I am doing. I just get so burnt out sometimes for doing so much and stressing over work so much I feel like I don't even have time to breathe anymore and I know that I am the only one to blame because I failed to delegate tasks to my co-workers. I fail to train the people under me because:

1.) I assume they already know the task because they will only use their common sense (which is not the case. Apparently, you have to tell them everything they need to do.).
2.) I get pissed off very easily if I don't get the quotations I ask them to do right away so I tend to just do it myself.

Failure to delegate work is my failure to be a good manager since I am supposed to teach them how everything works but I still feel obligated to have to do everything. I like knowing everything from the start to the end but I am not perfect and I don't expect myself to be at a lot of places at the same time and it frustrates me, so much. Sometimes I let loose and just breathe but most of the time I push myself so hard.

I think I need to give more time to myself as I feel like I lost myself in the process. I know it's supposed to be hard for the first part of starting up a business but I know I should never lose myself while being at it because it's something I want to see myself doing in the long run and be happy with it and not continue to be the person I am right now who sends hate every morning or who spends hours complaining about how inefficient the workers are or how uncooperative my workmates are like I am so good at it. I throw a fit at almost everything and never do something about it because I just expect them to understand me that I am undergoing a lot of stress and pressure.

I want to make a good working environment for the people who works for me so that they will feel happy waking up working everyday. For now, that is my goal. In order for me to reach my goal, I must first solve my (internal) issues.

For someone obsessed with making lists, here is my list to my plan of being a healthier me. I actually don't have a list yet. :p Will work on a draft list but definitely going to start scratching off things to do on my list of 101 things to do in 1001 and definitely will work on my time management skills and also some organizational ideas.

xx,

Annie

Reducing Weight Gaining Genes

Daily walk can reduce weight gaining genes.

Click the link. Read it then come back to me.

How cool is that? I always blame genes for my insecurities about my body. I'm always on the fat side. I always feel guilty eating. Always do. ALWAYS.I cannot emphasize more but you get it. I know people will tell me to just exercise but it's not easy. You know it is not. Being lazy is always easier than going to the gym or running around but this article is an eye opener. I do believe that this is true.

I remember I always think how fat I am back in high school and in college. I never got contented with how I look. I always complain how I have extra bulges and people tell me it's fine because I am tall but I never felt it's okay. I'm just not comfortable with my body but that does not make me any less of a person.

Now, after reading this article, I guess it's calling for a lifestyle change. I hate how I live such a sedentary life and I guess I should start moving around more. Perhaps I'll bike while watching Walang Hanggan, my favorite tv show and the only one I watch. Maybe I can go to the gym and do some cardio or go to IT park and have an hour of brisk walk.

This is so exciting! I feel more mature now. I feel like I am able to make wiser decisions and choices now. Not really. HEHE!

Sacrificing Sacrifices

Is there such thing as sacrificing sacrifices for a greater sacrifice? Or is it just my crazy self? Oh well.

As part of my Lent sacrifice, I gave up eating rice, bread and dessert. I also promised to blog about every cheat I make so here it is.

Last Saturday, March 10, was my sister's BFF's birthday party. I went with her to the party and the food served was SO goooood! Everything was so good especially the roast beef which I can't get enough of. I had to stop myself from getting more to stop over eating.

Best roast beef ever tasted.

My plate of happiness and sin. Why does good things always have to be bad for you?
Oh well, here's the thing, I am not allowed to eat rice but I tried their Paella. :( It didn't taste as good as i thought it would be. So that was one sacrifice wasted.

We ordered another lechon for Sunday lunch and it was not good at all we weren't satisfied so my sister and I wanted to eat something that will satisfy our appetites. I suggested East, West since I was really craving for mango sushi crepe. :(

East, West Mango Sushi crepe, nachos + iced coffee

The mango sushi crepe was very worth the cheat! I will never get tired of eating this desert.  Nachos were very good also. I loved the beans in the sauce.

So why did I let myself cheat again? I'm calling this my "sacrificing sacrifices for a greater sacrifice". Since I'm getting kinda desperate in losing the weight I can't lose no matter what I do, I made a bet with my sister. I will do this really strict diet and if I deviate from my diet, I promise to pay her 2,000 pesos each day I attempt and cheat. This is the only way I can stick to my diet because I tend to think it's okay to eat some chips or biscuits because I eat less of everything anyway. So I end up just eating more junk.

I'm on my second day of my diet now. So far, so good but is it too early to judge? Yes! I'm crossing my fingers. Good luck to me and to all of you who are challenging themselves for whatever it is! :) We can do this!!

xx,

Annie

Challenge Your Way to a Better You

Hey everyone!

I wrote in my old blog that this year 2012 will be my year and I mean it in every possible way. I'm thinking of ways how on to make this year different from the past 21 year of my existence and I came up with doing the things I didn't like to do and that is taking challenges. I always just stick to what's comfortable and easy, making my life boring. I did not do what I do not like doing. I stuck to what I think is interesting and that's not really a lot to mention. In short, I was plain, boring and lazy. I didn't enjoy activities that will make me tired and sweat. I could go on and on with so many activities which I did not like but it's almost impossible to enumerate because I did not like a lot of things. I'm a very impatient person and when I do not like the outcome of something, I do not exert much effort in it.

Photography is something a lot of people enjoy and I just don't know why I don't have the patience to it. I love looking at beautiful photographs in Tumblr and Pinterest. I really appreciate the beautiful scenes captured by a click of the camera that is enhanced by the patience and dedication of the photographer. There's just one thing I do not like. Taking pictures can be such a hassle for me so I usually just do not bring a camera with me. Most days and events I do not have photographs to serve as memories. This year, I am challenging myself to learn about something I'm not really interested in, guess what it is? Yes, photography.

My attempts to photography. Hihi

Maybe the lack of interest comes from the lack of knowledge. Take time to learn something. If you still don't like it  then you don't have to push yourself so hard, let go, find a new one to discover and maybe in the process you'll find something you really love doing. I'm open to new possibilities and that is what I'm doing this year because this is my year. Can be yours too!

Annie
